INTERNSHIP (2020)—REMOTE

InvolveMINT is a Pittsburgh civil and social organization that builds digital complementary currency systems in under-resourced communities to empower residents to affect positive change and enable local resilience. ChangeMakers (volunteers) earn TimeCredits which can then be spent or exchanged for basic needs realized from underutilized community resources.

MY ROLE

My job was to create diagrammatic posters and infographics (usually complimentary to digital announcements and emails) and other branding assets to communicate the concept, logistics and purpose of involveMINT.

INVOLVEMINT DESIGN SYSTEM

I was to follow the pre-existing design system of the organization. For visual consistency, I took inspiration from the colors and shapes of the in-progress UI design style.

ASSETS

overall timeCredit currency diagram

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Illustrate a community collaborative seeding project that wouldn't otherwise get done due to scarcity of USD, as well as service hours provided coupled with the proof of service (content and SDG data) to "mint" the credits. Illustrate how TimeCredits are circulated—elaborate on P2P exchanges.
